Colorado Gives Day 2026: Give Early, Give Local, Share the Good

The short answer

Colorado Gives Day is December 8, 2026, and early giving runs November 1 through December 8. You can donate now through ColoradoGives.org and invite others to join you. Two local organizations worth getting to know are Sky High Hope Camp and Professionals Miracles Foundation.

What is Colorado Gives Day—and why give early?

Colorado Gives Day brings people together to support nonprofits serving communities across our state. Colorado Gives Foundation organizes the campaign through ColoradoGives.org. Early giving means you can participate before the December date arrives; gifts made for the campaign during the November 1–December 8 window count toward Colorado Gives Day.

My invitation is simple: choose an organization whose work matters to you, take a moment to learn about it, and make a gift that fits your budget. You do not need to wait for a reminder in December.

Why does local giving matter to me?

As a real estate agent, I spend a lot of time talking about what makes a place feel like home. The conversation usually starts with a house or a neighborhood. But a community is also made up of the people who show up for one another when life gets difficult.

This article is an invitation to look beyond property lines. If you live in Littleton, Denver or elsewhere along the Front Range—or simply love Colorado—you can help support the organizations working here. Sky High Hope Camp is an organization I support, and I also want to introduce you to the work of Professionals Miracles Foundation.

What does Sky High Hope Camp do?

Sky High Hope Camp offers a weeklong Colorado summer-camp experience for children and teens who have or have had cancer, along with their siblings. Its ColoradoGives.org profile describes a volunteer-run program offered free of charge to participating families.

Camp creates room for friendship, outdoor experiences and the chance to enjoy being a kid. Donations help support the activities, food and lodging that make that experience possible.

That mission is why I encourage you to take a closer look. Read about camp, watch the camp video on my dedicated page, and consider sharing its story with someone who might connect with the cause.

What does Professionals Miracles Foundation do?

Professionals Miracles Foundation helps Denver metro children and families facing life-threatening illnesses, lifelong medical conditions or the aftermath of tragic accidents. The foundation’s focus is practical assistance and support during difficult circumstances.

Its ColoradoGives.org profile traces the organization’s beginnings to colleagues rallying around a family whose daughter had leukemia. That response grew into an ongoing effort to help other families. It is a reminder that a local network can become a source of support well beyond the original moment of need.

Visit the foundation’s own website to learn more about its mission, programs and ways to get involved. If its work speaks to you, its ColoradoGives.org page provides a direct place to give.

How can you donate and help spread the word?

  1. Pick a cause. Start with one of the organizations above, or explore ColoradoGives.org for another nonprofit that matters to you.
  2. Read before giving. Review the organization’s mission and current campaign details. Choose the amount and giving frequency that work for you, and review the checkout total before submitting.
  3. Give directly. The donation buttons in this article take you to the nonprofits’ ColoradoGives.org profiles. This website does not collect your donation.
  4. Share your reason. Send the nonprofit’s link to a friend, post it to your social feed, or bring it into a conversation with your family or workplace.
  5. Keep the connection. Follow the organization’s updates and ask about other ways to help if a financial gift is not possible right now.

You do not have to make a large contribution to join the conversation. A thoughtful introduction can help someone discover an organization they would otherwise never have known.

What can you say when sharing the campaign?

Here is a short message you can adapt in your own words:

Colorado Gives Day is December 8, 2026, and early giving is open now. I’m learning about Sky High Hope Camp and Professionals Miracles Foundation—two organizations supporting children and families in Colorado. If you’re looking for a local cause to support, take a look at their giving pages. Please consider donating or sharing their work with someone who might want to help.

Add the direct donation link for the organization you want to highlight and a sentence about why its mission matters to you. A personal invitation can be more meaningful than simply reposting a date.

Thank you for helping make Colorado a place where neighbors look out for each other. Whether you give, share or learn more today, I appreciate you taking the time.
